Comments about Lomographic Lomography 38mm Superwide Auxiliary Lens for the Diana+ Medium Format Camera:

I bought this lens to experiment Lomography on my Nikon D300, unfortunately I don't find any practical use to it, it's just a toy that produces low quality images at a high price. I wouldn't give it a everyday use and that makes me think twice before I change lenses in my camera.

Comments about Lomographic Lomography 38mm Superwide Auxiliary Lens for the Diana+ Medium Format Camera:

I purchased this along with the Nikon F mount adapter for my Nikon D50. I own a Holga, so I know what to expect for image quality (soft focus, ghosting).

Mounting it seems to be lack luster as it spins while you try to focus it (it has a focus wheel like any other lens). At first I was annoyed by it since I had to hold the lens on while I focused, but once you get the focus where you want it, it stays.

Though this can be an advantage as I noticed that you can pull the lens off and just place it in front of the mount and still get and image that increases ghosting.

The effect is pretty cool and is nice to have if you don't want to spend hours in post processing trying to replicate the same look.

Overall for the price you really can't go wrong. I also have a Nikon 801s film SLR that I'm going to put this on some time soon. Not something I'll have as a constant go to, but it's a fun art lens I can put on real quick for a different look.

A nice wide angle lens. Good field of view. Once you get the standard lens off I suggest wiping a little WD-40 sprayed onto a Q-tip on the lens notches to aid in putting on and taking off the lens.
