Comments about Pro Optic Pro-optic budget Auto Extention Tube Set for Nikon:
Only 2 out of 3 of these tubes worked for me. The fit on the body is extremely tight and takes a lot of effort to get the tube on. On the other end, the connection to the lens is extremely loose and sloppy. However, the pictures are fine. If I had realized that there was only a 14 day return policy, I would have checked each tube more quickly. Otherwise, I would have returned these tubes and spent a little more money on better quality.

Some reviewers complained about these being tight but mine are not. These are a lot of fun and can be used with any lens so you are not stuck using them with only a macro lens. Auto focus mechanism sounds rough when it operates but you really can use auto focus in macro work anyway so it's really not an issue.

I have used other extension tubes and these are the best. I am so pleased with the construction of them and how easy they are to use. I am so excited to have them added to my camera equipment and for use in my work.

Makes the lense a bit longer when using all three but nothing beets saving about $800 over the Nikon 105mm macro lense. Good picture quality but auto focus doesn't work on my D90, it keeps searching but when doing macro manual focus is the way to go.

This fairly priced extension tube set does exactly what it is intended to do: allow you to take incredible close-ups. The three tubes provide lots of options for magnification. The downside is that it does not securely fit onto my camera; there's no positive "click" when it is engaged on the camera body. Other than that, and the fact that I need to use manual focus and manual light metering (Nikon D40), it does a nice job for macro shots.
