I'm using this for determining studio flash setups faster. It works well, but with a minor catch for Pocket Wizard FlexTT5 users (and I assume MiniTT1 users). The overall documentation for the RT-32 is a little weak, but online searches can help pretty quickly.

Documentation says the remote trigger for the L-358 will trigger any Pocket Wizard. The L-358 uses the standard Pocket Wizard channels, but the FlexTT5 does not. To get these to work together you have to use the Pocket Wizard configuration utility to set one of the TT5 configurations to use the standard channels - which means E-TTL won't work for that configuration.

The module installed easily and worked fine in the house indoors, as soon as I had it outside the range was only a few feet, not suitable for a large family portrait. I have only tried it that one time though, more thorough testing is needed.

Its is great as I do not have to use another trigger for measuringing light, It would be better if the radio range is increased, very limited in this area. fails further than 30 feet

Flash measuring means a sync cable (I mean...wires wires wires everywhere...) or a pocketwizard attached on your Sekonic (and pocketwizard are not so cheap)

RT32 is a great product: sync chord is not necessary anymore and its price is 1/3 of a pocketwizard. Cool.
Just remove it from package, install (10 sec) and start reading the light. Simple to install and simple to use.

On the datasheets working range is 100' but mine (brand new) has only 5' range, so it's pretty useless.

NOTE: RT32 FCC version is for US Sekonic and US Pocketwizard.
RT32 EU version is for European Sekonic and European Poketwizard.
BUT you can fit RT32 FCC in European Sekonic. Just Google how.
Take care the exposure meter has the same standard of your pocketwizard

The Sekonic Radio Trigger is a fantastic option to have on my Sekonic Light Meters. With the ability to trigger my Pocket Wizards from the meter, it makes my life easier, especially when I don't have an assistant along.

I purchased the package with my sekonic L-358. When it arrived, I slowly took it out of the box and when handled, it rattles like something is loose. It only works with in 1 meter and that's at best 30% reliable. I'm sending it back.

Push the button on my Sekonic L-358 and the strobes fire and the reading is displayed. What could be simpler? One less wire to trip over in a crowded studio.

In my opinion, the L358 is not complete without this handy little gadget. It really does cut out the middle man by eliminating the need for a cord or having to take your Pocket Wizard transmitter off the camera to fire the flash for metering.

If you don't buy this when you buy the meter (which you should), get it as soon as possible. It's worth its weight in gold!!!

As designated by the headline, should have bought it from the very start. Makes metering lights so much simpler without having to drag out a cord or a spare PW.

This is a great addition to a Sekonic meter. Installation is a breeze. The one glitch is that the initial setup is a bit tricky. When I tried to configure the channel, I got a blinking channel number and couldn't stop it from blinking or use the meter. Eventually, I switched the mode, and everything worked. The documentation could be a little better on this point.

Once it was setup though, it worked perfectly. No more detaching my Pocket Wizard from my camera, connecting it to the light meter, taking a reading, then putting it back on the camera. It will pay for itself in time savings in the first couple of shoots where I use it.

I think the price has come down in the four years since I bought my Sekonic L-358... I wish I hadn't waited so long to add this module!

As soon as I bought my Pocket Wizards, I ordered the RT-32 transmitter. It's the reason why I picked the Sekonic L-358 meter. It works perfectly with Pocket Wizard Multimax units.
