The padding does exactly what it's supposed to. It's not too thin or flimsy, as I thought it might be just looking at product images online. The velcro attachment is strong and doesn't just separate itself under stress, which for some reason is hard to find with most velcro. The bright colour makes finding gear easy, and the biggest plus of all: definitely easy to use in other brands of bags. I have a Domke bag that I used this padding in, and it was easy to use the padding to create the interior design in the bag I really wanted.
