I got this as a gift to add to the Tamrac MAS belt I already had while working an internship at the CDT in State College. I used my belt regularly for shooting Penn State Football but the shoulder harness was a complete waste of money. The straps easily tangle when not in use, and when you have it on they to little to distribute weight from the belt and, due to the poor design, constantly slip off. I ended up dumping them after two games and now wish I'd gone with LowePro's design which has both shoulder straps meeting and joining in the middle of the back. This, I think, will prevent the shoulder slip and help the harness do its job. A waste of money.

I am not a small person an find that the Belt harness just helps keep the belt in place once it is loaded up with all of the attachments. It is very comfortable to wear.
