I had used the bag for about a decade, I have many bags but I always go back to this one. For smaller camera it work quite well but without any extra pockets one would have a hard time bringing extra filters or anything else. The two side lens cases are a bit too small for me and I replaced them with the #2 cases. However, it is also because of the small size (shorter), it does not hinder as much as Off Trail 2 which I also have. I also value very much about the speed that I can get to my camera. My bag is getting worn and I am looking at the newer design the Outback 100AW as a replacement.

I shoot with a Sony Alpha and the bag is a perfect fit. If the camera body was any larger, it would probably not fit, so this bag is not for anyone with a larger bodied camera.
The lens pods fit my 70-300mm Tamron zoom and a 50mm macro, so they are large enough for most non-pro lenses.
My one complaint - NO pockets. There is not a place to put extra flash cards, batteries, or anything else.

i got this to shoot weddings and i was amazed at how small it is! i wish i bought the deluxe one. i like that i can rest my camera (5d + l series lens) in the middle part. i can only put my 50 in one of the extra barrels and some cf cards in the other. i really bought it for those exact reasons so it does serve me. but if you actually wanted to put your camera in the middle part with a lens...then good luck!

The holster pack is very compact, it have room for mid-small sized DSLR camera & 2 medium sized lenses.
The size specifications in Lowepro site are very accurate.
I am able to snug in my Olympus E-520 with 3 lenses, 14-42mm,40-150mm & 70-300mm.
the 70-300mm lens can be fitted with the camera attached into the main compartment, but it's a tight fit. It also fits the side lens cases but barely have rooms enough to fit a filter on it when it does.
The pack doesn't have any packets and it poses a bit of a problem as there is only room to the camera & lenses alone(I add a spare battery,lens pen & a polarizer to the lens case with the 40-150mm lens, but they all sit clattered at the bottom of the case).
when taking out the 70-300mm lenses, the lens case can accommodate my external flash.
The lens cases are very securely attached to the main compartment with Velcro.
The pack main advantage is it's compactness, yet the foam on it doesn't look like it's meant to take a hard fall, it the pack had fallen from higher then 3ft I would be very alarmed.
The pack main disadvantage is not having any additional storage packets.
Overall I am happy with the buy, and would buy this pack again and not the larger Off Trail 2.

This is not a general user bag! But for backpacking/hiking is ideal: I wear it with only one lens case when I carry a backpack or climb without feeling its presence and the camera is always at hand.

A great buy if you don't need all the bells and whistles. There is enough space for a basic SLR camera and lens, with two additional lens holsters, but nothing, and I mean nothing else. I took one of the removable lens holders off and added my own storage bag. Its great for hiking, but thats about it.
