Comments about Lowepro Lowepro Topload Zoom 2, Holster Style Camera Case, Black.:

I use this to store my Nikon D3000 w/ Nikkor 18-55VR, now i know that the D3000 is very small for this bag but I am very active and I take my camera with me all the time. The belt slot makes it easy to attach to my current system but i had to use the strap that it came with to wrap around my leg so it doesn't flop around and potentially damage my camera. The extra space is absolutely a bonus and not having to worry about my camera in my backpack is an eternal bonus.

I've been a photographer now well over 60 years.
I have used many different types of camera bags, cases, carrying devices and whatever else there is to get my equipment around with me. I was never completley satisfied with any of them, mostly because there was never a way to get to your equipment in a hurry. I am now very pleased with my new setup, consisting of (2) Lowepro TLZ 2
holster bags. I wear them around my waist with the optional belt. One bag on each side of me. The bags allow complete freedom of movement. I carry just what I need. Changing lenses on the fly is a breeze with these bags, thanks to the reverse opening zippered top flaps that open away from you. And because you bring with you just what is needed, you're not carrying around needless extra weight. While nothing is perfect, for me, this method is the best yet. Thank you.

TLZ 2 holds D90 with 70-300MM VR

Comments about Lowepro Lowepro Topload Zoom 2, Holster Style Camera Case, Black.:

Had a TLZ 1, but then I got the Nikon 70-300MM VR, and it wouldn't fit with that lens. The TLZ 2 fits perfectly. The velcro pads are just right for supporting the camera with either the 70-300 or a smaller lens.

It also has a nice side pocket, big enough for an extra battery, lens caps, SD cards etc. Very useful.

The strap is nothing to write home about. I replaced it with a padded one.

Comments about Lowepro Lowepro Topload Zoom 2, Holster Style Camera Case, Black.:

The Topload Zoom 2 provides ideal, lightweight, easy to grab, and cost effective daily to-from protection for a 5dMk2 with 24-70 f/2.8 L lens, with or without BG-E6 grip mounted. The strap is a standard, plain-Jane strap, but is not uncomfortable. Since there are no provisions for adding SlipLock attachments as there are with the Toploader Pro 75 which I use when transporting a camera with a longer telephoto such as the 70-200 f/2.8 IS, I am forced to keep what I carry to a minimum ... which is good!

Holds D40, 55-200mm w/hood, SB-400

Comments about Lowepro Lowepro Topload Zoom 2, Holster Style Camera Case, Black.:

Just right for Nikon D40 with 55-200mm lens with hood and SB-400 flash attached. Works with 180mm f2.8 lens, too, and is fine for D40 without flash or with shorter lenses. Wider and longer than most holsters, but still okay for events, hiking, or cycling.

Comments about Lowepro Lowepro Topload Zoom 2, Holster Style Camera Case, Black.:

My Nikon D300 never leaves my side and this holster is what I carry it in. The fit is a little tight with the telephoto lens. The front pocket has enough room for the extras one needs for a compact day of shooting. There is an inside mesh pouch in the top with a protected zipper pull with enough room for filters. This holster is on my shoulder for many comfortable hours a day. Lowepro makes several holster sizes, I am sure there is one to fit just about every camera you may have.

This is a very versatile holster for a large-bodied camera with a long lens attached. Reasonably priced for the quality of construction, and the set-up allows for multiple means of carry, either by the shoulder strap provided, or mounted on a belt or vest system.

awkward zipper

Comments about Lowepro Lowepro Topload Zoom 2, Holster Style Camera Case, Black.:

Works very well for a very simple setup (just the camera, room for one small extra lens, and one front pocket for extra memory, battery, maybe a filter). The angle of the strap makes unzipping it a little awkward, but if I'm walking around shooting, I leave it unzipped anyway.

Good Case...
By DanVerified Purchaser from Hawaii on 5/8/2007
Pros:
Good Value, High Quality
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Lowepro Lowepro Topload Zoom 2, Holster Style Camera Case, Black.:

This is a good case...I am using it with a canon Rebel XTI. Fits camera and an 18-50 lens with hood, no problem. Just fits (depth) camera and canon f4 70-200 without hood. Padding is good. Material seems rugged with good padding. Not sure I like the way it zips..It opens from your body out so the zipper is a little awkward to use. I use the case on a nylon belt. There is one extra compartment inside for filters or lens cleaning and one extra compartment on the outside of reasonable size. Great value for the money and has a lifetime warranty,
