a couple of things that I wish were better are the fit of the view screen protector and the flash shoe cover.

First, the hard plastic view screen protector fit so poorly that i simply threw it out... that sounds bad I know but even if it did fit exceptionally well, I might have done the same thing. The addition of an extra piece of plastic over the LCD screen does make reviewing your shots a little more difficult in certain light (stick to the clingy film type protectors instead they don't distort anything).

Second, the slide in hot shoe cover is a nice feature but it does not stay put, becoming an increasing annoyance to me day by day.

All in all, this cover is adequate for protecting the 400D /xTi, especially since it has none of its own dust and weather protection, but it really should fit a bit tighter than it does.
