Not nearly as easy and fast to use as the old style 'ready to shoot' camera cases. Its very difficult and takes long to strap the hood over the camera body and lense. Orientation of the hood is a new challenge each time. Therefore, I tend to leave the hood off and hang on the camera strap most of the time. So the protection of the camera is not as good.
Unfortunatley, I have found nothing better yet for my Canon 30D with 16-35mm zoom attached.
