Comments about Ape Case Ape Case ACPRO1700 Digital SLR Swing Pack:
I bought the Ape Case based on the picture showing it holding two SLR bodies plus several lenses. I wanted to get both my 35 mm cameras and their lenses, filters, etc all together. As shown in the picture, this Ape Case does the job. It provides padded protected security for a Nikon FE and a Minolta X700 both with 35 – 105 zooms and tripod quick release fittings attached, a 75-150 zoom for the FE, a 135 and a 200 mm prime for X700, 50 mm's for both, and a 28 mm for the X700, plus an old Vivitar 550 flash, a cable release, and a filter wallet with six filters and the various step-rings needed to allow both cameras to use the same filters. It also weighs a ton, which I knew it would.I have another smaller non-backpack Ape Case that I've used for a few years and it's held up well. I do like the visibility provided by their yellow interiors. I also have a Lowenpro slinger that's my travelling camera case, currently stuffed with a D90, a couple of zooms, a 50mm prime, and ancillary stuff. The Lowenpro is more comfortable to wear slung on my back. I just can't get the Ape Case to sit as well. Both swing to the front for quick access to a camera with equal ease. Probably because it's a newer design, the Ape Case has a better arrangement of dividers, pockets, and zippers.I'm a little over 6 ft tall. I had to let the Lowenpro sling strap out almost to the end to get the case to fit comfortably. At the opposite extreme, I have a lot of leftover sling strap on the Ape Case. I think the Ape case would work for someone seven feet tall.[...]
Holds a lot

Really like this bag for the hiking/shooting I do. I bought it for the easy access to my D80/Tamron 18-200 in that side pocket I saw in the pictures on line. It works great. You just sling the back from back to front and the SLR pocket is right there. I chose it over a backpack because I thought it would be easier to get on and off and it would be lighter. Both are true. Looks to be well constructed. Really like!
