This brand's gear seems to be crafted for the adventurer more than the every day photographer, which is great because I mostly shoot when I am hiking, snowshoeing, biking, etc. So, the durability and material of this bag really do the trick. It is very well made and hasn't really had too much seepage even when raining on hikes (I don't recommend staying out in it though for very long).

I was ultimately going for a nice bag that was adjustable, could take a DSLR system with 3 lenses, filters, batteries, and a few other accessories, and most importantly have a hydration pack in the back preferably separate from the gear.

--Well, the ladder system is great for longer torsos like myself as it adjusts up and down your back for ideal weight distribution.
--The storage area is ok, not great as things feel a bit cramped, even though you can manipulate the Velcro inserts and try to make your slots what they want to be. I found my 55-200mm with hood attached made for a very snug fit in the compartments, but doable. Plenty of room in the front zipper areas for batteries, filter holders, maps, etc.
--The hydration sleeve (if you can even call it that) is a real stretch to be usable at all. I have a 3L CamelBack and it fits but it takes up almost the entire top pouch, so things like pullovers, lunch, socks, etc. are almost cut-out of your storage area "if" you want to have a hydration bladder, which I do as we hike 6-12 miles a trek. So, this lack of utility for storage and water is a real bummer. I know it says it takes a 2L bladder but it still would be very tight and render the storage area up top almost useless...for my needs anyway. It doesn't even have a pull-through slot for your hydration hose, you just have to snug the zippers up to it on each side which leaves that part of the bag open to dust, water, etc. (very poor design and thought process with this part of the bag). There should be a sleeve in the back separate from the main zipper areas that should be waterproof and be able to store a 3L bladder, like normal hiking packs. This is their biggest flaw in the bag as this would allow safety for your gear, maximum hydration, and all the storage zippers would be just that...places to store key things like clothing, food, and first-aid.

Overall, I like the bag. It is very comfortable and breathes very well even on 90-100 days on open field hikes. I think it distributes weight very well and by the end of the day, it doesn't feel like I had it on all day, know what I mean? It looks great and the lighter colors are ideal for hot/sunny days which don't attract heat. I would probably try another Clik bag, but I think my perfect gear/hydrating bag concept is a pipe-dream at this point!!! Hope this helps out.
