I bought a new camera bag when I first got my DSLR a little over a year ago and out-grew it in a hurry as I acquired more accessories. This year, I decided to upgrade and get something that would carry everything I need in one package.

The Kata pack is a pretty well thought out design, putting just about everything in easy reach and giving ample protection. I much prefer the backpack design to my old over-the-shoulder bag because I do a lot of hiking with my camera. My old bag was always getting in the way and it didn't hold all my equipment.

The shoulder straps are wide and comfortable and there is a carrying handle at the top of the bag if you want to carry it that way. The compartments are adequate although I would have liked to have a special section for memory cards like I have in my old bag.

All in all, I've been very pleased with the bag and best of all, it cost less than my original, too small camera bag. How sweet is that?!
