The DryZone Rover is a great system for those who need a rucksack that not only will hold the whole camera equipment but also leaves room for some other things. It is the ideal daypack. With its integrated hydration system and the big upper compartment you can take along things like snacks, raingear, hat, survival gear, first aid kit, even a sleepingbag provided it is a very small one - so: whatever you need on a treck will actually fit into the same bag as your camera equipment. This is a great advantage to so many other systems.
At the same time the camera case at the bottom of the rucksack is 100% waterproof and well padded (although I will put in an additional neopren padding just to make sure - after all: if you place the rucksack on the ground you want to make sure the valuable things at the bottom are safe). This means: you can take the rucksack on that really wet and muddy trail, you can take it along for skiing and you never feel uneasy.
The rucksack is quite big but very comfortable. In fact: even when you put in all the stuff mentioned above plus your camera, four lenses and all the little stuff, it is not imbalanced or feels too heavy. This is mainly because of the great Loewe carrying system and the different adjusments you can make in order for the rucksack to fit perfectly.
The one thing that is not so great: The ability to load other things as well as the water-/dust-protection come at a price. Accessing your gear is not as easy as in a camera-only case. The camera gear is protected by the outer layer and a very tight and not too easy to open zipper. Inside is a padded second bag with another zipper. Once you have them open, you need to tip over the top part of the rucksack in order to get to the camera gear below. This means: you need to take the rucksack off and you have to spend some time getting things out. It is not the kind of process you want to go through when getting ready quickly for a shot.
But then again: We are talking about a great, safe, sturdy and comfortable transportation and storage system for quite extreme environments. It is not meant to compete with simple camera bags.
I would take this rucksack out for a three day hike in the Alps or the Rockies. I would probably carry my camera in the hands most of the time, using the rucksack as the storage for the additional lenses and of course for protection in extreme passages.

Took this bag out on a sea kayak and the boat capsized with the bag going totally under water... not a drop of water got into the waterproof section.

The waterproof zipper is hard to open and close, so hopefully you won't need quick access to gear with this bag. But worth the trouble for protection.

Marked as cumbersome because it is a large bag. Not practicle for a multipurpose bag

This is an amazing bag! I bought it half a year ago and it has already been all over the US. The dry pack is a great feature that gives me a great peace of mind no matter where I go that my gear will stay dry.
The only downside is that it's a little big, but it is perfect to hold all of my camera gear (D80 Based) and a rain jacket. The water bladder is also an added bonus.
