I carry this bag to work every day and it feels like I barely have anything on my back. As compared to my previous bag it feels about 5 lbs lighter. A friend of mine also has one and based on his experiences and my research, I decided that this would be an excellent bag for my trip to Turkey in a few weeks.

This is not an "everything including the kitchen sink" bag, but the perfect size for a compact, well thought-out assemblage of essential equipment, i.e. everything you need on a regular basis, with no once-in-a-blue moon, dead-weight items. The comparatively narrow width will be appreciated by anyone who traverses thick brush, as the pack doesn't stick out on the sides and catch on every branch. Equipment access requires taking the pack off, which is a security design feature and fine with me, as no backpack is seriously designed as a quick-draw photojournalistic bag, regardless of ad hype. I carry a high-end point-and shoot in a matching (black and red) pouch attached to a front harness strap via Lowepro's SlipLock system for casual, impromptu shots. The Flipside 300 is very well made, and doesn't suffer from "me-too" styling. A very well-conceived product!

Got this bag for my wife for Christmas. It is a great size, holds the D90 with an 18-200 lens with plenty of room for 2-3 more lenses as well as flashes. The only thing that this bag doesn't do which I thought I had read when buying it was that there is not room for a water bottle on the side. Other than that it's great plenty of room inside and it also can hold a tripod on the outside-middle section and easy access to extra battery's and memory cards from a side pocket.

My wife was cramming all her lenses and gear into a small camera bag that was thrown in when we bought her camera a couple of years ago. She has a vest for her day trips that she likes but really needed something to protect her gear on the trip. The Lowe pro fit the bill perfectly. She has plenty of room for her D60 with a 70-300 lens attached, and two or three other lenses. The Lowe pro is just the right size for her.
The only con I found is that if you don't zip up the flap, your gear can fall out if you pick up the pack quickly.

Got this bag about a month ago and thought I would wait to "live" with it a while before I wrote a review. The verdict is... I have made a wise purchase when I bought this bag. It is very sturdy and gives more than ample protection to your gear. Being a big guy, I always wonder if backpacks, clothes, cars, seats on planes etc... will fit me since most things are engineered for people not much taller than about 6'3 or so. Being 6'9" and 265 pounds, I can testify that this bag is very comfortable and has more than enough opportunity for adjustment to fit big fellas like myself.
On the exterior, one thing a like about the bag is that it will stand on its own without having to lean against something because it has a pretty substantially built rectangular bottom. That may sound kind of minor, but I have been quite delighted to have this occur on a couple of case when I wanted that small luxury/peace of mind. Another thing I really like about this bag is the handle on the top side of it so that it can be carried easily without putting the bag on your back. I find it a lot more toteable with this feature rather than having to fish around/straightenout/untangle the straps that usually go over your shoulders.
Regarding the interior, I find it to be a perfect size. For day trips or a couple nights away, I can fit my Nikon SLR, 80-200 telephoto, 18-55, tube extensions and my wide angle, along with a few filters and other gagets with no problem. There are velcro dividers making it easy to customize your bag to fit your gear.
Overall, I can't think of anything I would change about this bag.

This product is a must have. I am pleased with this product because the loading capacity that it has for my dsl and my long telephoto lense is great. And the tripod support makes camping with tripod a lot easier.

I love the fact that this backpack has a tripod strap...it makes hiking wit tripod real easy. The back feel solid and thick pads through out the entire bag for extra comfort and protection. I have a sigma 50mm-500mm lense and it fit perfectly with my dslr comera atached with it. I'm really satisfied with my purchased!
