I like the size of this bag - it holds my Canon DSLR with 500mm f/4 lens and 2x converter attached. The Tripod holder is good for the foot end of my pro tripod. However, the bungees were not substantial enough for the top end with a Wimberley gimbal head attached. I went to a camping supply house and bought some nylon webbing that will secure things better.

Comments about Lowepro Lowepro Lens Trekker 600 AW, Pro Long Lens Backpack, Black.:
Found it somewhat cumbersom. Not enough valcro attached to the inside to configure the compartments to my storeage needs. Once the straps are adjusted, it is comfortable to wear and walk around with. Is easy to attach a tripod to it. If your looking for a workhorse for a hiking trip, it fits the bill. If your looking for a all purpose camera gear bag that's easy to configure for quick access, look further.

I also had the previous model that had no 'harness' for back back. I liked it better as I never use it as a backpack and the harness adds weight/cost and gets in the way. A great AW bag but should be available without harness or be able to detach the harness if not wanted. I have a 600 f4 and it is heavy enough anyway. I use a cart with wheels to carry it around.
