I needed a bag to hold all the cameras, lenses, flashes and other gear I might need for a shoot. This bag had great reviews everywhere I saw it for sale. I have had the bag now for a couple of weeks and I works Very well. I would recommend this bag for everyone from Hobby to professional.

I will be hiking with my camera equipment in tow for nature photography in the northern Rockies. It's advertised to hold 2 DSLRs and lenses but I do not see how that's possible. I could not locate the all-weather cover - one of the main reasons I bought it. I think it should be larger and have leather or other protective covering on the bottom for placing it on the ground to get to the equipment. Something sturdy that would also keep it dry.

I use this bag to store and transport my equipment. This bag will easily hold a full frame-camera with 70-200mm lens attached, 4 small/medium lenses, flash, charger, filters and a laptop with room to spare for other items like shutter releases, batteries and cables. Once adjusted it is very comfortable and not a problem to wear for hours at a time.
The bag is a little bit on the large/heavy side, but because of that it will definitely protect your goods and last for many years to come.

At first look, the harness appears too bulky. But, after several other backpacks that were uncomfortable, this one is the most comfortable I've ever had on. I can carry all my equipment and access it quickly.

Fits everything I need it to. 2 bodies (40d, 5dmk2) one with lens attached, 3 more f2.8 lenses, a 1.4x extender, and a 580ex II flash. I also plan for it to carry around a netbook once I decide to get one.
The built in weather shield works great; I've already used it to keep the snow off.
It can obviously get heavy, but it fits comfortably so it's easy to deal with all the weight.

I bought this pack because I was alway tring to cram all my equipment into a smaller bag with the same result every time...a split out bag. I can put all my equipment(Two canon cameras, 100/400mm is usm L with the hood, one 2x's convertor, five other small lenses, light meter, canon flash, to many filters to count and thats just the main storage compartment. I havent yet filled this pack to its max...but am working on that. I don't have one bad thing to say about this pack...I'm glad I finally bought a top of the line pack that has all the room I need plus room to add more equipment should I need to.

This is a great bag, however I have some back problems and find it very heavy, and with lower back problems the waist strap system doesn't really help. Getting the weight off your shoulders and onto you hips puts pressure on your lower back. Don't get me wrong, this is a great bag, just a bit too much if you do have a bad back. I have a Micro Trekker 200 that I use as my main bag though it won't hold everything I need for an extended hike. I'm thinking of selling the Nature Trekker, picking up the Mini Trekker AW and using it as my main bag and keeping extra gear in the Micro so I can put together what I need for any specific trip, hike, etc.

Comments about Lowepro Lowepro Nature Trekker AW II, All Weather Photo Backpack, Black.:
I needed a bag that could both hold and protect my gear yet be portable enough that I would want to carry it on long walks. It also had to be airline friendly and convenient to use in the field. This bag fits almost all my wants ands needs with a little room to grow.
I really like how well it transfers weight off my shoulders, the fully adjustable straps work great. They could use D rings to attach your camera strap but no bag is perfect. The slip lock system is great for adding more pockets and pouches either to the bag itself or the waistbelt for easy access to common items like filters or a second lens. I have not been caught out in the rain yet but I do feel comfotable that all my stuff will stay dry in most storms.
I have three med. size lens, one camera, flash unit, filters and misc. other stuff which all fit inside with room for another lens or two. I also strap my tripod on for most walks and take a jacket, water bottle and snack. All this weight adds up fast! Even though the bag distributs it well, it is quite heavy fully loaded and limits how far I want to wander.
One size smaller would not have been enough for all my present and future needs, one size larger would be to much to carry any distance.
High quality constuction, well thought out design, highly adjustable inside and out, comfortable and very portable. Overall great bag.
Needs D rings on shoulder straps for camers straps and possibly a hydration system built in.
