For walking around this is a great all-round bag. Everything is very accessible, and on your way to wherever you may be walking around, it attaches to a little rucksack and is carried comfortably on your back. It holds quite a lot of gear, although it could do with a few more external zippered pockets. Because it carries a lot of gear, it protrudes quite far in front of the stomach when worn as a front waist bag. I always regret relying on a waist bag in cold weather, since it doesn't really sit comfortably over lots of layers and coats.

If you don't use large lenses and need quick access, this is a great pack. I purchased it thinking it provided faster access, but one really has to go through so many steps to get to the equipment, it's easier to remove the pack, then go through the tedious steps. A straight forward backpack, would be easier. The base fanny pack without the backpack attachment is very uncomfortable. I'm looking for a different product.

This backpack is a high quality product. The only complaint that I have is that it is difficult to gain access to your gear while wearing the backpack. It has to be spun around to the front (not a big deal), but also the entire top half of the backpack has to be decoupled from the bottom half so that the bottom half can be opened to gain access to the gear. More often than not I take the entire backpack off, and then in half, to gain access to my gear. So, if quick access is of concern to you, this product may leave you disappointed.
