Comments about Lowepro Lowepro Orion Trekker II Dual Compartment Photo Backpack, Black.:

This may be a good pack for people of average to lower height who need a bag for transporting an SLR camera with an average length zoom lens attached. It is not a good pack for taller people who plan to do extended hiking. There is space in the bag for a few additional pieces of kit, including in my case a speed light, a 50mm prime and a few filters and cleaning accessories. There isn't room for much else however. The top compartment is extremely small and only the smallest and lightest of pullovers will fit. While this bag doesn’t make any pretence about being waterproof, extra attention must be paid to the two uncovered zippers which vertically straddle the sides of the top of the pack. These zippers will leak in even the lightest of showers and any gear stored in these pockets should be additionally protected. This is a small, light-weight bag, and if you don't plan to do any extended walks, of more than half an hour or so, this might be the bag for you. The main problem with this bag is the harness. The back straps are narrowly set - which places undue pressure on the shoulders - and the waist belt is too light and small to effectively hold the hips. So, if you are tall - I'm 6'1" - you may find that this bag is simply too small to fit comfortably on your back for any length of time. I've used this bag for summer day hikes, it doesn't have enough internal capacity for a winter hike and extra equipment, and it is extremely uncomfortable.

Comfortable. The clip on the bottom ensures your gear will not fall out if the zipper comes undone. The chest strap is also a plus. Your equipment will be protected with the generous padding. I use a Canon 20D with 2 lenses and an HV20 HD comcorder in it. I just finished hiking through Bryce Canyon - awesome.

this backpack is alsome ive ben useing it for a while now and I love it. its easy to pull lens out and every thing. im 5' 8" and its the perfect size for me but if your any taller it might feel a little small. I have my camera(with out a lens on) a lens hood, flash, 18-55mm lens, and, a 75-300mm lens in it and its perfect. buy it if you are thinking about it.
