I keep it loaded with whatever I think I might need for most situations. If it comes down to needing more lenses or flashes, there's plenty of room and very easy to swap out what you need with something you don't. The storage compartment on top will hold items that don't fit below, plus rain gear and your lunch with no problem. On top of that it will hold and protect very well, a laptop computer up to 17". I have a bad back and been through several surgeries. When I bought this, the first thing I did was load it up and put it on. It was extremely comfortable and the way it fit caused no pain to my back. I left it on and I swear i didn't even know it was there after a while. This is the most comfortable and roomy bag I've ever owned.
