I have only worn this to get used to wearing a slingpack prior to taking a trip to AZ. I have been able to easily fit a body, three lenses (18-55,85 &70-300) plus a Nikon SB600 flash and numerous filters & cards with room to spare. It fits comfortably and allows for easy access to gear.

This is the best travel bag for an SLR, Lenses and some accessories. I have traveled for weeks with this bag, and it allows you to carry other things (like kids) while you are wearing it. And then when you need your camera it is a quick, and easy access to get it out.

I purchased this pack [...] in the summer of 2006 and have never been sorry for my decision. I photograph my children's high school and college baseball, field hockey and lacrosse games. The Velocity 9 is very comfortable, makes getting to my equipment easy and quick. It's unnecessary to take the pack off your back. It's super protective of my equipment. Its build is second to none. Highly recommended.

I found this pack compact and rugged, with a well designed interior layout. I use it for a single body and two to three lenses. For these minimal components it works very well. I particularly like the sling strap design which allows me to move the pack to my chest to retrieve or replace my gear without taking off the strap.
One downside: I find the sling strap to be a bit uncomfortable when I carry the pack for long hikes, but since that is not often how I use it, that is not a big probem.

I do nature photography and as I also do a lot of hiking. This bag is very comfortable and I don't have to set it down to access any of my equipment. The construction is second to none.
