If it weren't for Virgin Atlantic's ridiculously low carry-on baggage weight allowance, this would be the perfect bag for transporting a full complement of DSLR gear. This bag is not too heavy, their allowance is far too low. And now that I'm carrying more stuff around, I may need to move to a different airline. A shame, as I've been one of their frequent flyers for over 15 years. But I digress. This is an amazingly well-made bag, with thought and attention given to all the details. If you're happy not to have all your stuff instantly accessible (as with a waist bag), then this is great. I don't mind the lack of wheels, as this makes it lighter.

I bought this bag to use when I fly. It fits perfectly under the seat in front of me so my gear is always handy. It holds a huge amount of gear for it's size. I carry a D300 with a 70-200 and two additional lenses and have a tod of room left.
The construction is perfect and it has just the right amount of pockets. If you have a 15" laptop you'll have a problem getting the bag under a seat, but the laptop case that comes with it is awesome as well

This bag has excellent quality. It fits an amazing amount of gear, including the Nikon 200-400. The only downside is that of accessibility inherent in a photo backpack. I also love the included laptop case.

My wife thinks I have a bag fetish because I am always looking for just the "right" bag. I may have finally found it in the Think Tank Airport Antidote. It holds all of my gear and makes it easy to travel, even in the smallest of airplanes. I am a big guy, so the fact that it will fit in the overhead makes more room for my legs. Holds 2 bodies, several lenses including my Tamron 200-500 zoom, and all the little stuff that I need to carry.

Comments about Think Tank Think Tank Airport Antidote 2.0, Photo System Backpack:
Great solution for traveling with 13" Macbook, D200, various lenses, chargers, and (too much) various paraphernalia. After removing the laptop case from the front compartment, the bag fit into the extremely small overhead compartment on a regional prop plane, much to the surprise of the cabin attendant. The waist belt provides increased carrying comfort for the longer hauls. The quality of construction and materials seems to be extremely high. The only small negative I've found is that the rain cover lives in a separate pouch, as opposed to being integrated into a dedicated pocket. Previously I was using a Lowepro Mini-trekker (not the AW version) so I was used to the non-integrated rain cover - which I never had occasion to deploy. I like the Mini-trekker and may continue to use it when/if travelling without the laptop. For travel with laptop, I chose the Airport Antidote over the Lowepro Compu-trekker primarily because the laptop rides in the outside compartment of the Think Tank, which makes more sense to me. I doubt that a perfect bag will ever be designed, but this one comes close. My thanks to Thom Hogan for his recommendation.

Large enough to hold a Nikon D3, 14-24mm f2.8, 24-70mm f2.8, 70-200mm f2.8, 50mm f1.4G, filters, cords, etc., with room to spare. And it fits in the overhead!
