I've used it for hiking and travel. The bag itself is heavy but it is very comfortable and after a day walking you'll feel a lot better than you would if you had been carrying a cheaper bag. The rotating belt also works very well for me.
After I've used it I also got the water bottle and large lens carrying accessories. I would recommend them.
