Comments about Canon Canon 100-DG Digital Gadget Bag:

Have had several of these bags and used them to transport gear back and forth across the country, good carry-on size. Padding has protected gear well, lots of compartments for everything I use. Definitely not a cross country/hiking bag but great for urban environments.

Comments about Canon Canon 100-DG Digital Gadget Bag:

For a day use bag, the 100DG makes sense as it is both practical and economical. My day to day point & shoot is a Canon 50D with BG-E2N grip and 28-135 zoom with Canon EW78BII hood attached. I also carry a 550EX speedlight w/ aux battery pack, 75-300 zoom. 11-22 zoom plus meters and accessories. If you need a general purpose bag that looks decent for high end social events the Canon 100DG should serve you well. While it can carry a laptop or tablet computer, I would not suggest it and would carry the computer in a separate bag. It can also carry a Mamiya RZ67 with a 90mm and digital back installed plus two film backs. I tend not to overpack and treat my gear with some respect. I own several and they work for me.
