This is my manual bag: it carries an FM2N, 4 primes, plus a flash. (Yes, not much room for film, though.) A few filters and a cable release, and a GorillaPod SLR tucked under the flap. Take away the GorillaPod and it looks like a messenger bag, which suits me fine.

Nice small bag for carrying around my D40 with lens attached. A little extra room for wallet, cell phone, keys, and external flash. Not much room for anything else. I like how inconspicuous it is - not big, black, and bulky like so many other camera bags. It feels like a purse. The velcro is very sturdy, but noisy to open/close. The worst part is the zippers (again, very sturdy) are metal and jangle jangle jangle when you're walking. Overall, though, I'm very pleased with this purchase.

This is a nice compact bag for carrying around a DSLR, a few small primes, and a flash. Alternatively, a DSLR, w/zoom lens, and flash. Of course, also some memory cards, batteries, pen/pencil, small notepad, etc. About the only complaint I have is the zipper is just a horizontal slash (does wrap around the sides a bit though), which can make it slightly harder to get things out of the ends. Seems like it would be easier with more of a lid-type zipper.
Also, it's a bit lacking in small pockets. Aside from the places to put camera, lens, etc, there is only one external pocket and one internal pocket. Both cover the entire width of the bag, so it's hard to keep things organized in them. Neither have their own closure, so if the bag gets tipped over small things in the external pocket could fall right out, and ones in the internal pocket could get mixed up with the lenses and such.
All that aside, it's comfortable, lightweight, inconspicuous, and pretty much the perfect size for a day trip around town, visiting museums, etc. Just looks like a normal smallish shoulder bag, doesn't scream camera bag at you.
