Comments about Tamrac Tamrac 606 Zoom Traveler 6, Shoulder Bag for Small 35mm or Digital SLR Camera Systems, Black.:

Overall, I'm very pleased with this bag. It's very well constructed, and well padded inside. My only complaints are probably just things I need to get used to.

When I've got the bag slung, I usually put the strap over my head, with the pad on my right shoulder and the bag at my left hip. I find that I have to extend the strap as far as it can go in order to do this (maybe I'm a bit big, I dunno) and I would prefer a longer strap. I'm sure I could replace this one if I really wanted to.

My other complaint is that my camera body and lens combo is a bit tight in the bag (a D300 and an 18-200VR), so getting it in and out while the bag is slung can be a bit challenging, but I'm sure I'll get used to it. There's no issue getting the equipment in if the bag is sitting on a table or on the ground.

As I said above, these are tiny complaints as far as I'm concerned. Don't get me wrong; I love this bag.

Great bag for traveling with a small SLR set up, be it film or digital. Easily fits an SLR with motor or large battery and fitted with a moderate lens. Plus room for additional lens and larger top mount flash. Only thing I could not get in this was a StroboFrame bracket. Also purchased the memory card folio that attaches to the strap nice addition.

Comments about Tamrac Tamrac 606 Zoom Traveler 6, Shoulder Bag for Small 35mm or Digital SLR Camera Systems, Black.:

This is a versatile bag. When I bought this bag, I was using film SLRs, it allowed me to carry lots of films in a convenient pouch under the cover. Now I am using a digital SLR, I still find it to be a very good bag to carry my DSLR with a 28-200mm attached, plus a extra lens and a flash. It is relatively light weight (compares to other brands), strong, and very well constructed.

I really like the shoulder pad and the carring handle, they are comfortable and well constructed. There is a small ID/storge tab on the outside of the top cover, which I never used and I don't really care about.

This is the 2nd 606 I've bought. The material is completely changed. The con is that it looks cheaper. The pro is that it's lighter. That is good with the new DSLR and lenses for which I bought it. I travel overseas with it and it's less of a burden than the old one with a 35mm SLR. I own about 8 Tamrac bags and they're all great.
