Great camera bag that doesn't say "steal me." I was able to carry around a pro dslr with 70-200 attached, flash and additional lens. It can be a bit narrow when using lenses with wides hoods.

Bag was purchased to house a kit consisting of a D700 + 70-200vr1 attached, a sigma 50/1.4 and a sb600 speedlight. It easily swallows up this combination. There is room for more stuff, but i dont like overstuffing my bags with gear, and with this kit, everything is very easy to access. Camera is VERY easy to access for on-the-fly shooting. One annoyance is the provided strap. It is somewhat comfy slung over the shoulder, but it is VERY uncomfortable when worn over your other shoulder and across your chest. Replaced the stock strap with an Optech S.O.S strap and couldnt be happier. For a bag costing this much, the strap should have been perfect from the get-go.

I bought the UB 35 for use with my Nikon D700 + Grip. It was important to me that the camera is easily assessable from my bag for photo-snapping on-the-go - so a backpack was not an option. The UD35 works reasonably well. An inch more in depth would have made the bag ideal. Great construction quality, slim and attractive, lots of storage. I'd buy again.

I was searching for a bag that would fit my Nikon D3 and Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8VR Zoom lens and this is the one I needed. For shooting street scenes in NYC, this one is perfect. The problem with pro cameras like the Canons and Nikons is that the full-framers are just too big for most bags. This one fits the bill. It is also rather stealthy, not looking like a camera bag. I don't carry a laptop with me, but there is a separate area that would fit one with a smaller screen. I have a lot of other Think Tank equipment and find that the durability is superb. There are numerous other compartments for accessories. Get one of these jewels if you only carry one body and two or three lenses and don't want to be a target for snatch & run thieves.

I really liked this bag. Like all Think Tank bags it is very well built. Like the other bags in TT's Urban Disguise line, it is unobtrusive and thus doesn't call attention to itself.

In comparison to LowePro, Tamrac, Tenba, and Kata, Think Tank uses much thinner padding. As a result, it would be my last choice were I to roll a bag of gear down a stairwell. On the other hand, it is my first choice for situations where I want to minimize bulk. For my purposes, it is a good compromise between over-protection and no protection. Even with the laptop compartment, it is smaller than competitive models without such a compartment.

For my evaluation, I wanted to fit a Canon 5D Mark II w/ attached 24-105 f/4L, a 70-200 f/4L IS, a TS-E24mm f/3.5L, and an EF 1.4x II Extender in the main compartment. I was able to do so (w/o hoods) but it was a tight fit -- tight enough that I wouldn't be comfortable replacing the TS-E24mm with the new, slightly larger Mark II version.

Think Tank did a good job of extending the zippers well down the side of the bag to make it easy to get gear in and out. This is something that I found to be a problem on the smaller Urban Disguise 30.

The biggest -- really the only -- disappointment with the UD35 was the way Think Tank installed the velcro inside the bag. There is no way to install the dividers closer than 3" from the top of the bag. For me, this resulted in a good 2" of wasted space at the top. I can think of reasons why TT might have done this but I can't think of any reason why they *had* to do it. I could have used that space.

Although I don't have a laptop that fits in the laptop compartment, I still found the compartment potentially useful as a place for a guidebook or maps. When empty, it collapsed to a very small size so the extra bulk it created was not a problem for me.

In the end I returned the UD35 in favor of the Urban Disguise 40, a shorter, thinner, but wider bag that lacks a laptop compartment but otherwise allows a much more efficient configuration of my gear in the bag (w/ hoods and room for the updated TS-E 24 II). If I had to carry a 13.3" or 10" laptop with me my decision would have been different.

One final note: I was evaluating these bags (and others) to carry inside of a larger, internal frame pack. Because of their lack of bulk and exterior pockets, and the fact that access to the camera gear is very simple, the Urban Disguise bags are nearly ideal for this application.

I am more of a wildlife/sports photographer than anything. I do not carry tripods, portrait lighting equipment or a lot of "extras". I would like to carry a small notbook to print immediate pictures for autographs if I had one small enough. This bag would handle the job. Since I don't have the notebook, the available space carries a moderately sized compact umbrella, a full size rain poncho and the optional harness which turns the shoulder bag into a backpack. The camera portion of the bag holds my D700 w/MB-D10 with 70-200mm f/2.8 VR attached, 50mm f/1.4, 17-35mm f/2.8, 2X converter and SB600 with considerable room for more. There are still more pockets available under the front flap for filters, rain covers, another body or any assortment of items. All of this in a bag smaller than most laptop backpacks - very easy to just throw in the car for a drive or as a carry-on.

I am glad Think Tank came out with this bag to fit my D3, two f/2.8 zoom lenses, and flash when I want to be nondescript. I have the Airport Antidote to carry everything, but a backpack is not practical when shooting and changing lenses. I also have the Skin pouches, but they draw attention at theme parks, museums, and pretty much everywhere. I wish I could squeeze in my MacBook 13", but that would make the bag too thick. So the rear slot becomes perfect for books and maps. Like with the other Think Tank products, the quality and design is well thought out and impeccable.
