There are a lot of bags out there, and each bag will suit different photographers with varying needs. I have a LOWEPRO toploader that I absolutely swear by, but found myself on long trips, looking conspicuous, and overloading the side pockets with maps/granola bars/etc. since it was my traveling bag - it was cumbersome and unwieldy, so I came across the 7 Million Dollar home (7MDH).
The 7 MDH, contrary to the company title, is no crumpler - it is well padded, extremely versatile in its ability to reconstruct the interior, water resistant, full of loops to add a small tripod and/or lowepro lens case, and has enough room in the interior to allow the day traveler to throw in all their junk (food/water/umbrella/SDHC cards/lens cleaners/glasses/etc. you get the idea?!)
I got this on sale, great steal!
People complain about the Velcro being loud and difficult - it really isn't, and this isn't the "new" 7MDH where they actually redid the Velcro to make it quieter (at least they listen!); it's a secure Velcro closure with a belt hook, what more could you ask for?
Only gripe: if you are in a downpour, looks like the water could get in from the sides despite the fabric being waterproof; so be smart, as the closure isn't "sealed" much as my lowepro toploader is.
Fits a tripod and other lens cases with side loops

I wear this bag on my shoulder while shooting weddings. I can fit two cameras with lenses attached, two flash units and an extra lens in this bag. There is plenty of room for batteries and extra memory cards as well. I love this bag!

I wanted a camera bag that doesn't look like a camera bag for traveling. I don't like to advertise that I'm carrying expensive equipment.
Lots of room for carrying my DSLR and accessories. Use it all the time when traveling.

Comments about Crumpler Crumpler 7 Million Dollar Home Photo Bag, Color: Black / Gun Metal / Lite Grey:
I was looking for a versatile shoulder bag that I could use to carry my 40D with battery grip and 17-85mm lens attached. I liked the generic messenger bag look but the bag was a little cramped with the grip attached. Like my Slingshot 200, I wanted to transport my camera ready-to-shoot. I think it would be more suitable for someone not using a grip, or carrying the body with the lens detached. It is a well made bag with heavy stitching but it is lacking small storage pockets for items like memory cards, spare batteries, pens, etc. Too bad the Crumpler Brazillion Dollar Home is so over the top. Something in between this bag (7MDH) and the BDH would be ideal.

this bag is well constructed. i have ALL my photo equipment in it and everything fits. the padded shoulder strap helps distribute all that weight quite well.
if you are looking for an excellently-constructed bag that will comfortably fit everything you need to put in it without a lot of bulk, then this crumpler bag is the one you're looking for.
