Comments about CampCo Humvee Safari Photo Vest - Khaki - Large:

I bought one of these vests some time ago from Adorama. It's been to Central America, the US Southwest, and the swamps of Florida. I have had NO complaints with this vest, it has more than enough pocket space, attachment points, and is very comfortable. It's well constructed, I have given it very heavy use and it's still in great condition. Heck, I basically have abused this vest on a daily basis since I got it.

Saw a comment/complaint from someone about the Velcro closures, and really can't figure out what the issue is. I have had no problems with the Velcro closures in terms of reliability. But, I must admit, I tend not to use the Velcro pockets while using the vest when in 'photo' mode. Quite likely I'm out in the forest and focused on nature photography, and the Velcro is really LOUD when opening it - would scare the little critters.

I have lived for many years in Central America, asides from photography I am a farmer and this vest is perfect for farm life also. It has places for some spare parts for chainsaw, small tools for the fuel injection system of the tractor, etc. It's more like a 'General Utility Garment - Multifunction'. Sure, you can use it only as a "Safari Photo Vest' but it's more like a Swiss Army Knife of a piece of clothing.

The vest is used in the field to hold numerous items for the job; camera, magic markers, pens, pencils, batteries, etc. The velco closures for the pockets are poorly sewn and have pulled away, resulting in the hook & loop staying together while the pockets are open. Short of sewing the velcro back onto each piece of material it was originally stitched to, this vest falls short of expectations for continual pocket openings/closings over an extended period. Aside from the velcro problem, the vest is good product for the designed use.
