I bought this vest for use on the Galapagos Islands, it preformed well. It has lots of pockets for carrying camera equipment safely. I was able to access needed items quickly so as not to miss the shot. The small size is loose fitting, allowing for a light jacket to be worn under. I'll be using this vest for many other photo trips.
I'm 5'4' 125lbs. and the small fits loosely but well.

I am a women 5'6" and this vest fits great. I love that I don't have to carry a purse. This vest carries everything I need. Very comfortable. I have the small size.

First, I was worried about sizing. I am a small framed woman of average height (about 5'5"). In misses sizes I generally take a size small top. I got the small size vest and it is quite loose fitting on me. But it is not to the point where it is falling off. It fits comfortably and I have plenty of room to put a large sweatshirt or jacket on underneath.

I have a bad back and neck and can't carry a heavy bag. Also, I'm not averse to getting down on the ground in the mud and crawling around to get the right angle on that macro shot. Large bags tend to get in the way. So I decided to try a vest instead. I primarily wanted the vest to hold accessories and maybe one or two lenses or a camera body. This vest is great for the accessory part. Not so much the lens or body part. It has lots of pockets but most of the pockets are either too small or just not the right size for the equipment I wanted to carry. The pockets aren't padded either so I got a small soft sleeve for one of my lenses. With the sleeve, which isn't that thick, my 18-55 just barely fits in the large lens pockets. If I need to change lenses quickly I'm gonna miss the shot. My Rebel body fits into the largest pocket, but again, just barely. Even so, the vest allows me to carry a smaller camera bag because I can put the smaller necessities in my pockets leaving room in my bag for the camera and lenses and I don't have to worry about carrying a purse. Also, with this vest and all its pockets, when I take my niece and nephew to a theme park, etc. I can still be "Aunt Manda , who always remembers to bring everything. (Individual handiwipes, sunblock, lip balm, band aids, aspirin, zip locks, hair brush and pony tail holders, etc. etc. and I still have plenty of room for my point and shoot, extra batteries, and sd cards.) However, I no longer have to carry the interminably heavy back pack that I inevitably wind up foisting on my husband much to his chagrin. And, so long as the weight is distributed evenly on both sides, the vest does not seem too heavy to me. Even after wearing it all day.

One last piece of info, the Campco company and Humvee have merged or one bought out the other or something. So this vest comes with a tag that says Humvee but it is still produced by Campco.

My recommendation: All in all, if you want something with lots of pockets to carry your camera's odds and ends so that you will have them at hand (and don't need a heavy bag and don't need to go back to the car for them) this vest is a great light weight (well priced) alternative. However, if you want to be able to carry your gear on your body, spend the money and get a pro's vest or stick with the back pack.

This is an all around good product. I purchased a Small and it is a true 22" for half chest. 27' long from neck to bottom. It sits about 3"-4" below my belly button and I'm a short wasted female: 42 chest and 33 waste. It fits but not tight. I had comfortable room for a bulky sweatshirt underneath. The mesh vents in the back give and help with expansion. I would have liked to seen a little heavier duty material. It is a light weight canvas weave. Pockets are all easy to get to and plenty of storage for filters and little items.

I bought this for my wife who is the photographer in the family. She does a lot of nature photos. It is just the ticket to carry everything she needs in organized fashion. It is still a little too big but it really helps her carry all her gizmos right at her fingertips. [...]

Looked at lots of jackets before I purchased this one. Ended up choosing the Campco because I'm the kind of person that wants the best, without having to pay extra for the high profile name, and this fit the bill perfectly.
