This strap is amazing. With a conventional camera strap, I would develop pretty intense pain in my hand/wrist when shooting over a period of several hours (weddings...) from having to basically carry the camera. With the RS-5, I was able to shoot 2 weddings and a location portrait shoot in one weekend without any hint of pain. The camera hangs securely and safely at the side and is always right at your fingertips for shooting. I was told that the strap I bought would ship with the new FastenR3, but it came with the older FastenR2. No worries though, my vendor set me up with a replacement FastenR3 right away. The RS-5 is one of the best photo purchases I've ever made! Highly recommended.

I was finding it so difficult to carry my camera, and therefore use my camera, with always having my baby in a front pack. Maneuvering my camera to my eye was so difficult with the traditional strap. And then when I upgraded to the 7d, not only was it challenging, but the added weight of the camera hurt my neck as well.
With the R5, that pressure around my neck is gone and the strap rests behind my baby's head and I can easily get my camera up to my eye, without disturbing him.
Love the pockets, too, and the ability to easily take the camera off the strap for casual shooting around my house.

This strap is a must have for any photographer shooting for long periods of time. I was shooting my nephew baseball tournament this weekend for 6 hours a day and at times forgot how my camera was hanging by my leg, it was that comfortable around my neck. It is a must have in your bag. Business cards and memory cards fit perfectly in pouches

A very good buy would recommend you check out Rapids website has helpful video on setting up the strap.

I got this awhile back, and now it's the only strap I use. It's great for both on-location and in-studio work. The strap keeps your camera out of the way while moving back and forth between lights/model etc. I like the compartements in the strap as well - nice fit for smaller items like memory cards, business cards and a cell-phone.
Highly recommended.

My husband saw a photographer using this strap at a wedding but was unable to find it at the local camera stores. He was surprised to receive it for a Christmas gift. He likes the swivel and the ability to carry his camera across his body versus around his neck.
