This is an amazing strap system! It's significantly more comfortable than carrying a camera around your neck, and extremely convenient having the camera by your side and able to be pulled up quickly at any time!

The only downside is when you set the camera down when you're not using the strap it doesn't sit flat due to the connector screwed into the tripod socket. (minor drawback considering how great the strap is!)

This strap was recommended to me by a professional photographer. I hesitated before buying it because of the cost - I thought "How much difference can it make?". All I can say is it makes a much bigger difference that I would have believed.

With a neck strap I was always sore after a couple of hours and the camera always seemed to double in weight. I just got back from a week long trip where I wore the camera all day, every day, all week with a rapid strap and I never minded having the camera. It also like that it allows me to more easily protect the camera under a coat when the weather is less than perfect.

One word of warning though - it mounts in the tripod mount which means it is not compatible with a tripod quick release plate. So it will make switching back and forth to a tripod take more time.

This is the best purchase I've made since buying the camera. You will not be disappointed. Yes, it's expensive but it's totally worth every penny.

Really helps to reduce the stress on my neck of using a regular camera strap. Can wear a DSLR with heavy 70-200mm lens all day with minimal problems.

Four stars not five because this is an expensive camera strap. Having said that this is the best camera strap I have ever used. I am a tall individual and most strap do not work well. I have always wanted a strap that could be adjusted to its longest length. That way the camera could stay over my neck and shoulder and when it was time to make my shot i could just grab and shoot with out taking the camera strap off from around my neck. Most straps are to short for this when i bring the camera up to my eye i find the strap is too tight and i have to remove the camera strap first. This strap is long enough it can just hang till i want to shoot, I shoot, then let it hang again. Another nice feature is the strap has little clips on the strap to stop the camera from sliding around. All in all i love this strap just not sure any strap is worth this much money

This strap will make you wonder why you put up with a regular strap for so long. Very good design. Fully adjustable. Only short coming is comfort/ease of use with vertical grip attached. It still works, but the fastening stud is in the screwed into the part of the grip that you hold- workable, but awkward/not particularly comfortable.

Prevents neck and shoulder pain, eliminates 'bouncing camera syndrome' when hiking, and camera is always ready for shooting. I think the design would be better with a little neoprene shock absorption, like Op-Tech, and vertical shooting with battery grip is a little awkward with the tripod-socket attachment, but those are minor trade-offs.

Easy to set up and use and easily distributes the weight of the camera. I only wish I had purchased the one that has a pocket to store flash cards and a cell phone; however, it does have attachment points.

I love this strap! I bought 2 because I can't live without my hand strap on my cameras but I need to be able to carry 2 cameras at a time at a wedding so I don't have to switch lenses. The curved strap holds my shoulder great and it's very comfortable. It screws into the tripod socket so I can still use my beloved hand strap.

I am an nature photographer and hand carry either my Canon 500 or 800mm prime using an R4 strap. I just bought a R7 and like it very much but am using it to carry my 7D & 100-400mm zoom. I like to use the R straps bandolier style so they hang tight rather than straight down. The R strap is the only way to go for carrying heavy gear for long periods. I easily carry my big lens and a second camera for 2-3 hours at a time.

A strap is a strap, right? Wrong! This strap blows my mind. I LOVE IT! Very comfortable to carry a heavy SLR/lens, easy to bring camera up to shoot.
