this thing is nice and works very good!WHY IN "GODS NAME" DO YOU HAVE TO HAVE IT MADE IN CHINA!!! I AM SICK OF SEEING THAT DARN LITTLE TAG. I WOULD HAVE GIVEN IT 5 STARS IF NOT FOR THAT!

I bought this camera strap in November from Adorama. I had liked it until yesterday.
Yesterday, while walking around the zoo, the strap seperated from the screw and my Nikon D-300 and Nikon 70-300 hit the ground from the height of about my waist (I am 5' 7" tall). It landed on the hotshoe and bent it, preventing the use of the flash. I am in the process of testing the camera and may bring it in to be checked out, so I am not sure of the damages yet.
Regardless, there is no excuse for such shoddy construction. Those of you who are willing to risk your expensive equipment, be warned.

My son noticed the add for the "Sun Sniper" in Digital Photo and commented that he thought this looked like a good product, which would work better than the traditional camera strap. I took his comments to heart and ordered both of us "Sun Snipers". We both used them on a recent trip to a large Corvette show (Corvettes at Carlisle)and were over-whelmed at the ease and comfort the straps provided throughout our 7 hour tour of the show, during which time we took over 400 pictures. Needless to say we are very pleased with the product.

I bought this strap for my Canon 5D. It works best for a long day of photo shooting like weddings. Very comfortable during the shoot but what I noticed and like the most was my neck was not soar the next day like I used to be with my standard strap.
The only I did not like about it is it does not work well if you carry a backpack while shooting photos.

As a pro for fifty years, cameras have always been slung over one shoulder, but the use of longer heavy lenses have also been felt to place huge stress on camera lens mounts when using standard body ring camera straps, as the bodies were outweighted by the lens. This strap is easy to attach to the tipod mount of long lenses, thus providing an opportunity to carry the lens, body combination from the strongest point - the tripod mount. The rating given is based on the idea someone else may improve on this. The only weakness is the padding is designed to favor placing the strap over the right shoulder.
