I love this hand strap - use it all of the time and love the additional stability that it gives me
Comments about Canon Canon Hand Strap E-1:
i don't use a neck strap but the spider holster and the canon E-1 hand strap comes in very handy ( no pun intended). the hand strap helps me secure my camera when i remove it from the spider holster.

I really like the secure feeling you get for control of my camera when I use this strap. I do a lot of rock scrambling on beaches and such and it just helps me grip my camera. I use this on a Canon 1Ds MkII and it really helps. I had to search on line for a 3rd party person who took the time to show folks how to strap this onto the camera. If they had given instructions, it would be a perfect 5 star rating
Comments about Canon Canon Hand Strap E-1:
comes with no instructions on how to attach it to your camera. you'll need to search online to know how to attach. Could use more padding.
Comments about Canon Canon Hand Strap E-1:
Include instructions with grip

Ordered expecting this to be a better solution than the bulky neck strap that comes with the Rebel XSi. Will not attach unless you are using a battery grip.

Installed the Hand Strap in under a minute. It is very comfortable and sturdy!

Just perfect .... Recomended to any DSLR (With battery Grip, if you want to add more security when holding the camera
Comments about Canon Canon Hand Strap E-1:
Sweet leather feel, and it gives me a better flexibility. I prefer this over the neck strap.
Comments about Canon Canon Hand Strap E-1:
It makes the camera a part of you in that it is an extension of your arm
Comments about Canon Canon Hand Strap E-1:
I need to look for the proper way to attach this strap with the camera online, Canon needs enclose an instruction with the product.
Comments about Canon Canon Hand Strap E-1:
The product itself is great, but as others have commented, it comes with no instructions. The only instructions are in very small print included in the battery grip installation instructions.
Comments about Canon Canon Hand Strap E-1:
Gives me a secure handle on my camera without having to use the neck strap. Thus, it is less confining and more comfortable.
Comments about Canon Canon Hand Strap E-1:
Works OK but wish instructions had been supplied for attaching this correctly to the camera and base. It makes getting to the flash card a little more difficult. Vertical shots using the base trigger are also more difficult. For use around the studio without a tripod it works great.
Comments about Canon Canon Hand Strap E-1:
Definitely the best hand strap around. Only works with 1D bodies or cameras with a battery grip. The attachment is convoluted and impossible if it weren't for someone posting the instructions on Flickr. Canon really should include a xerox of the instructions with the strap. [@]
Comments about Canon Canon Hand Strap E-1:
It's a great strap that does exactly what it should. I only have 2 minor complaints and one is actually with the camera.
First, I think Canon should make the top attachment for this strap back a little away from the shutter. I find my index finger doesn't have much room to press the ISO and other buttons when I have all four fingers in the strap, so I use it with 3 finger in the strap and my index going over the top.
Second, attachment instructions do not come with the strap, and it is a bit confusing. They come with the battery grip, but I only found that out from searching a forum, so I had to go digging through my closet to find them.
Comments about Canon Canon Hand Strap E-1:
Good attachment to the camera with the battery grip. Instructions located with the grip.
Comments about Canon Canon Hand Strap E-1:
Very simply, if you have a battery pack attached to you XTi or XSi body, you need this strap.
Comments about Canon Canon Hand Strap E-1:
Like the headline says, the hand strap adds confidence to using the camera. I feel my grip is much more secure especially over long periods of shooting with the grandkids or in crowds. 4 stars due to the price being a bit high given the materials used and it feeling a bit sloopy at times. Not insecure, just seems to have trouble finding the perfect spot.

I use this in conjunction with a Tamrac N5059 Leather Padded Digital Camera Strap. It is made of all leather. If you have a Canon Battery Grip, the instruction on how to attach it are included with the grip.
Comments about Canon Canon Hand Strap E-1:
Either the included directions were missing, or there simply weren't any: I had to just deduce how to attach this to the body and have it be adjustable. Once it's on there, it's great, and makes it much easier to carry the body around town without a neck strap and not be all nervous about it.
Comments about Canon Canon Hand Strap E-1:
I guess I just expected something better with the Canon name on it.
Comments about Canon Canon Hand Strap E-1:
Helps me steady the camera.
Comments about Canon Canon Hand Strap E-1:
...you need the BG-E3 battery grip (or equivalent) in order to use this hand strap. Otherwise, this is a good product. It's very comfortable and adjusts easily. My only complaint is that the instructions for this item are included with the BG-E3 and NOT with the E-1. This doesn't make much sense, but a quick Google search can remedy this.

works well with the battery grip. camera feels secure.
Comments about Canon Canon Hand Strap E-1:
Not very well padded, but still comfortable
Comments about Canon Canon Hand Strap E-1:
Great on a Canon digital rebel XTi with an Opteka battery grip. Supports the camera, battery grip and a 70-300 lens in one hand. My only complaint is that there is no instructions on how to attach it, and its not that easy...just follow the instructions from here: http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=57766
Comments about Canon Canon Hand Strap E-1:
I works well, just could be designed to sit back farther on the wrist.
Comments about Canon Canon Hand Strap E-1:
Both of my camera bodies have the E1! The strap is very comfortable and I love the fact that I don't need to have a strap over my shoulder!

Comments about Canon Canon Hand Strap E-1:
I have this strap on 3 different cameras. I bought my first one to keep the camera secure when not using a neck strap. What I found out is that it's even better at taking the load off your hand during a prolonged walk. You don't have to grip the camera much, so your hand can relax. With your palm pointed down the strap rests on the back of your hand. I find the wrist/arm muscles that support the camera this way don't tire as easily as the hand/wrist muscles that support the camera without the strap. Good for taking a load off during a walk-around. The strap does take some effort to install the first time you do it. For non-pro camera bodies, the instructions are found with the battery grip instructions and are not included in the hand strap packaging.
Comments about Canon Canon Hand Strap E-1:
Provides a firm grip for the Rebel XTi which is small for my hand even with the motor drive grip. Helps keep the camera in your hands. I feel more comfortable shooting over water or in high places.

This is another great accessory by Canon. Perfect for any EOS camera with battery grip. I use a 20D with the vertical battery grip. THIS PRODUCT WORKS GREAT!!!
