I recently picked up this Canon pro neck strap 1 because I had recently bought an excellent used Canon 1N-HS from Adorama and I wanted a strong build to support a heavier camera. The great thing about this product is that it has quick release clips and swivel mounts. Both of these features I wanted because of my experience with using other Canon cameras and Canon straps. For tripod shooting and vertical shooting, the strap gets in the way and is a hassel. Also, during shooting when I am swapping cameras quickly, the swivel mounts provide a non-twisting solution with providing comfort in the process. All in all, this is a Canon product so you know it is a quality product. If I bought another camera I would buy this strap again.

Like the quick release clips and the length. It could be a little wider around the neck but it really no issue since I kind of carry the camera when not shooting.

I bought this strap as my old one (the one that came with the camera) had started to fray and chafe where it attaches to the camera body after almost 5 years of use.
I bought this one thinking it would be a good one, esp with the anti-twist locks. And as petty as it sounds, the colors make it look a little nicer than my old black one.
It does what its suppose to do, it supports the camera well, its nicely padded so it doesn't rub my neck while carrying. The anti-twist pivots works as they're suppose to as well.
The only problem I've found with it is the length - I'm about average sized and even with the straps adjusted close, the camera still rests below my navel when I carry it, which is not comfortable, esp when I'm used to having it under my chest with the old one.
Other than that its a nice product. I can't say anything about this one chafing or fraying since I've only had it about 3 months - but if my old one is any indication it should last 4-5 years at least.

Probably the only Canon-made strap that doesn't entangle. The red rim of the strap makes it more professional-like.

My camera is quite heavy and the strap makes it feel light and well supported. It distributes the weight well.

I was looking for a neck strap that would replace the "Canon EOS Digital" strap on my 40D camera. I have tried 2 other Canon straps, and this one is definitely the best at supporting the 40D with a 400mm f5.6L attached. I have also tried an Optek strap with this combination, and I did not like the plastic straps that attach to the camera - the Canon nylon was much more flexible. This allows me to store the camera in a Lowepro TLZ 1 case with a 17-55 lens, and the neckstrap folded on top.

I bought this strap for my 1D. It is great for the 1 series cameras, especially with L telephotos. The adjustable length (very long!) is a blessing and the quick release clips are very functional, strong and quick to release. My only gripe about this strap is that the metal pivot points, while a great idea and being very functional, tend to ding up my LCD.
Recommended nonetheless!

Much better than the strap that comes with the camera. Longer, alot of adjusting avalible, also detaches easily when using tripod or hand holding. Great strap, could use alittle more padding.

What a difference. My Rebel XT came with a shorter strap and no swivels. This strap makes it a lot easier to shoot as the strap doesn't get in the way of the viewfinder as often and now can be pushed out of the way when it does. The clips and be detached from the strap and clipped together for a hand strap if that is more appropriate. Probably one of the best [$] I've ever spent.

Longer length than the strap that came with my XTi. Rotating clip detachments are positioned about 6 inches from the attachment points prevent twisting. The neck piece is a little harder than I'd wish, but no worse than others I've used. The best part for me is detach two clips, then snap the clips together for a 12inch wrist strap!

I recently purchased a Flash Bracket for my Camera, and wanted something a little more robust, than the Strap that came with my Camera, to help support the extra weight. This strap does just that, my only complaint is that the ends of this strap look a little more frayed then I would like, but that is more of a cosmetic thing than anything else. This Strap also has Quick Release Clips, which also swivel, which lets you quickly remove the strap, and it prevents it from twisting.

The strap is just the right length. The strap that comes standard with the camera is short. I would recommend this to anyone who wants comfort.
