Really takes the weight off the neck and shoulders. Makes carrying a DSLR with a heavy lens and flash a non-problem. I just ordered a 2nd strap for my other camera. Wish I had gotten one earlier.

Comments about Op/Tech Op/Tech Bino/Cam Harness, Elastic Version for Cameras & Binoculars - Black:

If there were more than 5 stars, this strap would have em. I used to dread shooting a wedding or long event because after a couple hours my back and neck were extremely sore from supporting my gear around my neck with the typical camera strap. I even ditched the stock strap and opted for the fully padded type but still nothing could mask the weight of a dslr, battery grip, heavy lens and shoe-flash hanging from my neck. Then about 2 months ago I came across this strap at my local camera shop and that was one of the best investments I've made in my photography career! No neck or back pain anymore and I barely notice my camera there even after 6-8 hours. Before I would have been cringing after about 3 hours. The elastic in the strap also acts as a shock absorber so when walking the weight is absorbed in the strap around my shoulders instead of my neck muscle. To the other people that wrote about lack of "sweat protection" because camera rests against the body...don't know of any camera straps that keep camera away from body and put a shirt on. As for stability, this strap is great and fully adjustable. I adjusted mine so camera rests slightly above my waist line and have no issues shooting landscape or portrait. Now if you adjust it too high you might struggle with portrait position. It took about 3 minutes for me to understand how to wear it correctly and about another 10 minutes to dial it in to my liking. After that...no issues, no fuss, no worries. Before I leave for a shoot I'll put the strap on and buckle the two ends together in front of me like some strange training bra for men. Once I get there I will take out the camera and buckle in to the ends attached to the camera and I'm good for the day. I'll detach if I'm shooting on tripod or eating but usually leave it on the entire time. Even if I do detach my camera from the strap or I'm done for the day, I'll leave the strap on until I get home. The quick release levers are solid and I feel no risk from them coming unlatched, especially not both. My boss shoots with a D3X fully loaded and even that tank is well supported. If you are hesitant though OpTech sells little straps to velcro between the latches or you can buy a roll and make em yourself. I designed two for mine when I first got it but after using the strap for 2 months don't even use em.
Trust me, especially if you suffer from neck or back pains from your gear, you WILL LOVE THIS STRAP!!!

Really takes the weight off the neck. The camera come up quickly to shooting position. Was easy to attach. My Nikon d90, 18-105 lens and sb600 flash are easy to carry all day---even the 70-300vr is no longer uncomfortable to carry around. I will get another one for my other body.

my canon 40D and any lens that I use with this works great. Its nice to not have your hands tied up holding the camera and it works so much better than just a neck strap.

I bought this to prevent my camera from banging around while walking around. Definitely serves the purpose. Price is right. May order another one for my other Nikon after I use it more in the field.

Does a great job of stabilizing your camera at those times you desire to photograph without the use of a tripod. Alleviates that pain in the neck you get from hiking with a camera and zoom lens for long distances...especially uphill!

Comments about Op/Tech Op/Tech Bino/Cam Harness, Elastic Version for Cameras & Binoculars - Black:

The clips are sturdy, and I feel confident that my camera is securely fastened. It is infinitely more comfortable than hanging the camera from my neck using the strap that came with it. I use it with a Canon XTi and usually a 17-85mm lens. I have worn it all day on several occasions in the field and other outdoor events. It adjusts well to my smaller frame but is obviously made to fit larger folks, too.

No Sweat Protection
By NAVerified Purchaser from Santiago, Chile on 2/20/2009
Pros:
Adjustable, Comfortable, Well Padded
Cons:
Difficult to Attach

Comments about Op/Tech Op/Tech Bino/Cam Harness, Elastic Version for Cameras & Binoculars - Black:

I am a trekker. The strap should be good for horizontal shots but not so good for vertical shots. Furthermore, it provides no sweat protection as camera rests directly against a wet body.

Comments about Op/Tech Op/Tech Bino/Cam Harness, Elastic Version for Cameras & Binoculars - Black:

This harness works well on its own, but I was hoping with the quick disconntects it would work with the Op/Tech neckk strap. The problem is that the pieces that fit on the camera for the harness are too short for the neck strap and the neck strap pieces are too long for the harness. So what I find myself doing is having to switch between the two pieces that attach to the camera in order to use the strap or harness.

Other than that, this is a nice harness and keeps the camera firmly attached with practically no bounce. This harness is great for walking around Disney for example.

Comments about Op/Tech Op/Tech Bino/Cam Harness, Elastic Version for Cameras & Binoculars - Black:

Despite the long name, this harness does the job. It's reasonably priced and it does support a camera with a short lens. It tends to bounce and feel unstable under the weight of a longer heavier lens. It could use more padding or wider straps, especially where the straps cross on the back. The quick release is great especially when using a tripod.

Comments about Op/Tech Op/Tech Bino/Cam Harness, Elastic Version for Cameras & Binoculars - Black:

I bought this strap to try with a heavy camera and lens set up. I have the OpTech pro loupe strap and managed to fit the smaller loupe attachments of the bino cam in addition to the pro loupe strap clips. SO now I can wear the harness, and clip the camera to it to relieve the weight around my neck and not have to take anything off the camera to do so.

It is a little confusing at first to figure out how to put on the binocam strap and it would be even better with a little padding part that would slide so it could be adjusted to the wearer. Nevertheless, there is nothing else like this out there for a small convenient way to take weight off when using a heavy camera.
