I know people have their reservations because they appear to be just little pieces of plastic, but trust me, your strap will break before these things do.

The only drawback is that on some camera bodies they are a very tight fit to get through the loops. For example, on my T2i I was about ready to give up after 15 minutes of unsuccessfully being able to insert the product. But after soaking them in hot water for a few minutes to soften up I was able to squeeze them through. I guess the good thing about that is I know they fit so snugly I don't have to worry about them falling out without a lot of effort.
