Comments about Bogen Imaging National Geographic Tundra Tripod Padded Bag, for NGTT1 and NGTT2 Tripods:

First off, Adorama has a fantastic price on this bag! It's about $40 more everywhere else I looked. Compared to the costs of camera gear/accessories in general, and bags in particular, it's very easy to say yes to a sub-$25 bag.

Don't get put off by not owning one of the two tripods this bag was made for. I have a Gitzo GT1541T travel tripod with Acratech GP-S head attached and it fits beautifully in the bag. Per another website's specifications, the interior measurements are 19 x 6.0" so just measure your gear first to see if it'll fit.

The front pocket is decently sized. With my tripod in the bag, I can fit an SB-600 flash or a small lens like a 50mm or 10.5 fisheye and get the front pocket zipped. I can fit a slightly larger lens like a 105mm macro or a wide angle zoom in there snugly but I don't think I'd get it zipped, at least not easily.

Two more pockets along the bottom front are suitable for small items like money, credit cards, keys, cellphone, etc. Two mesh side pockets are great if you anticipate thirst. You can cram an 8oz nalgene bottle into each. It's a tight fit for the bottles and that's probably my biggest grump about the bag, although considering most photography bags don't even consider including a pocket suitable for holding a bottle, this is a step forward.

There's one more small mesh pocket on one of the straps. At first sight it looked too small for a modern smartphone but it's actually a good, snug fit for my iphone 4 with case.

All the pocket interiors are bright yellow so it's really easy to see what's inside.

As a small frame 5'5" female, I was most worried about the fit of this bag. Happily, it fits pretty comfortably. I can wear it as a backpack or with one strap as a slingpack (this is less comfy). And perhaps the most important point, even though the bag adds a pound and a half to the weight of my gear (I bought a lightweight tripod for a reason, right?), it feels almost weightless on my back with the tripod and a flash inside. I feel like this might be the first photography bag I use regularly. If I were traveling I would stuff this bag in my checked luggage and then use it as my day pack at the destination (after blacking out the huge National Geographic logo to make the bag look a little more generic). If you get caught unexpectedly in the rain you can always toss your camera in the bag, pull over the rain cover, and carry your tripod in hand.

Everything feels well made, especially for the price. The bag is all that I hoped it would be, and I think it's a great fit for any photographer who wants to comfortably carry minimal equipment on a long walk or hike.

Comments about Bogen Imaging National Geographic Tundra Tripod Padded Bag, for NGTT1 and NGTT2 Tripods:

I did not buy this bag for a tripod. I suppose it works just fine for it's intended tripod, the NGTT1 and NGTT2 tripods by National Geographic Society. It will be to short for any other tripod that does not collapse as short.

I bought this bag to carry a Manfrotto 5001B lightstand, a small umbrella and a couple of speedlights. It all fits well if the umbrella adapter is removed from the lightstand. The bag is extremely well made with adequate padding, and pockets for PC cords, batteries, pocket wizards and such.

Comments about Bogen Imaging National Geographic Tundra Tripod Padded Bag, for NGTT1 and NGTT2 Tripods:

Tripod case is high-quality but way too small for my Monfotto tripod. Had discarded packaging so did not attmept to return but tried to give it to a friend....their tripod wouldn't fit either.

Due to quality, I am saving item for some other possible future use.

Would only recommend after careful study of tripod dimensions, etc. or with use with more compatible tripod.
