I bought this for convenient carrying of the camera and one lens. It does that very well. The foam padding is dense and protects well. The front pocket is adequate and handy for filters and an extra battery.

I tried carrying a second lens in a matching Lowepro lens case attached to the side of this holster. That didn't work out so well. The combination is a bit ungainly and awkward, mostly because the lens case is also well padded and thus is a bit large to accommodate the lens hood.

The shoulder strap is strong and functional but could use a more elaborate pad at the shoulder. It has a non-slip material on the underside of the strap at the shoulder that works great, but there is no padding beyond the thin 1.5" wide strap. I borrowed a wrap-around shoulder pad (also has non-slip on the bottom) from another bag and that helped.

The zippers that close the top flap and the front pocket work very smoothly.

Though I have a couple of nits with this bag, it does provide all the function needed at a very reasonable price so it gets 5 stars.

Be sure and check the dimensions of your camera body and lens. There are several models and you want a holster that isn't much larger than the camera and lens. The bag is flexible enough to let you get your hand alongside the camera body and pull out the camera without oversizing the bag. I found this one perfect for my Canon 5D MkII and my 24-100mm zoom lens or my 17-40mm zoom lens. I have the similar dimensioned but deeper holster for times when I carry the 5D and the 70-200mm zoom lens.

You do want the holster to be a half inch deeper than you camera and lens so that the top flap does not rub the camera's LCD. The lens sinks into the bottom of the holster a small amount and this helps provide a bit of room between the camera LCD and the top flap.
