Comments about Op/Tech Op/Tech PDA/Cam Macro Pouch with a detachable swivel hook to attach to a belt, for PDA's & Compact Cameras:

This pouch is a good fit for the G9 or similar cameras. Offers reasonable protection for little bulk & cost. Although it does not offer the protection of a hard case, I think it has protected my camera from major damage by inadvertent drops to pavement several times. It fits the camera well but still allows easy extraction when needed. I keep a wrist strap attached to one side of the camera strap loop which helps in pulling it out of the pouch and together they eliminate the need for a neck strap. The belt loop lock is innovative but can become dislodged so check it from time to time.
