I use this case to transport photo and radio equipment, and for sure I feel safe when my equipment is in this case. It's simply a quality product and you got a lot for this money, the hinge is perfect and the lock mechanism is very reliable even if is made of plastic, you relly don't feel the necessity of an additional safety lock unless you have to leave the case unattended.The foam is very easy to shape.
The only small drowback is that when the case is empty or packed whith light stuff and you open it tend to unbalance to the lid side.
