Collaborates with the collection of software in my Digital DarkRoom great. I downloaded some plug-ins, and run all but a few snapshots through LightRoom flag some for different auto-tweaks, major PhotoShopping with my tablet, printing or saving. It has great adjustment tools and does everything I want unless it’s major PhotoShopping which I use my tablet and another program for. If you don’t have Photoshop CS-3 or Photoshop Elements 6.0 yet, buy Photoshop Lightroom before you decide between the two.
Kept the adjustments just short of PhotoShopping

-It´s so fast importing my raw files, and recognise even the latest camera formats
- frankly - even the design is so appealing and show how easy it is to use
- it works incredibly fast as it leaves the originals untouched

I hope a future revision will allow third party sharpening and noise reduction plug-ins.

Comments about Adobe Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Version 1.0, Photo Editing Software for Windows and Macintosh:
I have been using for about 2 weeks. I have only two complaints and one is huge to me: Importing RAW files from camera is very slow and sometimes locks up. The other is, I cant lock the crop ratio (to say 4x6)when editing a bulk of files, its has to be set every time you crop a picture. Other than those two things, I am loving the cataloging, the work flow, the ability to have the settings syncronized with multiple pictures and I am sure there is more I havent found yet!

Comments about Adobe Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Version 1.0, Photo Editing Software for Windows and Macintosh:
Lightroom really speeds up my time with large numbers of images. Adding copyrights, locations, rating images and quick fixes speeds me through the sorting process. And I must say after searching high and low for the best price....[...]came in with flying colors! Way to go guys! That is what keeps me coming back!
Comments about Adobe Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Version 1.0, Photo Editing Software for Windows and Macintosh:
I shoot alot of weddings, and take ALOT of candid shots as part of my packages... lightroom takes 4 hours of photo editing and shrinks it to about 1 hour! I still do all my more detailed work in photoshop... but for the bulk of my photos lightroom is great. It took a little time to get the most from it, but once you get a good workflow down it's great. Also allows you to rename hundreds of files at once. I love this product!!

Comments about Adobe Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Version 1.0, Photo Editing Software for Windows and Macintosh:
I cannot believe how much better Lightroom is for me to use than Elements. It is great for the photographs that I just do not need to adjust very much. When I need to work on a photograph, it is very easy to send it to elements and then it is equally easy to get it back to lightroom when I have finished. This is a great Purchase.

Comments about Adobe Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Version 1.0, Photo Editing Software for Windows and Macintosh:
This is a wonderful product for organizing and editing digital photos. While it is not intended for in depth photo manipulations like Photoshop, it is excellent for adjusting exposures, adding metadata, and assigning keywords. The exposure control is amazing. I've pulled images that were almost black back to a reconizable subject without increasing pixelation. It also has a great feature that allows you to print contact sheets of your images and sort images into groups/assignments without moving them from their original folder location. The spot removal tool is a bit weird to use, but if you have lots of spots to touch up it's very easy to switch back and forth between Lightroom and Photoshop. Also, I've noticed that when printing multiple pages it sometimes only prints part of a page. None of my other programs do this so I'm assuming it is a quirk of Lightroom and not my printer drivers messing up.
