Comments about Adobe Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0, Photo Editing Software for Macintosh:
The product has a lot of potential, the tools are good and easy to use, you can accomplish much of what can be done in the more expensive CS3. BUT.... it is unstable and crashes constantly. I have used this program on 2 different computers, with the same unstable results. Some days it works without a problem, other days you can't even open a photo. The program simply vanishes from the screen, without warning. Or you get a message that says "unable to perform function, due to error" then it crashes. Adobe has not been able to figure it out, on either of my computers...

Comments about Adobe Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0, Photo Editing Software for Macintosh:
The bottom line is that the OEM digital editing software included with your digital camera may give as good or better editing control than Photoshop Elements (PSE). PSE (the Mac version at least) tends to treat the purchaser as a simpleton. Lacking are the incremental controls that most OEM digital editing software include. The lack of this feature alone has sent me back to Canon's fairly good Digital Photo Professional OEM software included with my cameras. And, I’m wondering why PSE was even recommended to me by the local Photo Emporium. Get to know the included OEM digital editing software that came with your camera, it may be all you need and you will have saved yourself [$]
