Use a simple cable splitter to load both tuners in the HDHomeRun with channels from your cable supplier. This allows recording a channel while viewing another or having two different computers each access their own channels simulaneously. Plug it into your Ethernet cable and any computer on your network with Windows Media Center can then access the channels. A Media Extender like the Xbox 360 can then show those channels through the main Media Center computer. Each tuner can only supply one computer or channel at a time. If you want more than one computer to access channels simultaneously, get more than one HD Homerun (2 tuners/channels each) and you can easily feed a dozen or more computers at the same time on one network. I now record and enjoy playing High Definition TV on multiple computers on my network both hard-wired and wirelessly. I highly recommend this product. It's easy to install if you understand how TV is distributed through your house and if you understand your computer network.
