Came with PogoPlug OS, which might be great for some people, but didn't work at all as a music server for my Sonos S5. Thought I was going to have to throw it in the closet (the PogoPlug -- maybe forever), but found PlugApp Linux instead, After finding a mini USB drive and spending about two hours on install work (all done from Terminal on a MacBook, but could have been any computer), I had Samba working well with the Sonos. Only had to restart the Pogoplug unit once in two months. Seems great to me. Excellent value. There are other solutions, but physical packaging of PogoPlug is interesting.

This was easy to use and set-up. I wish my network speeds were better when I'm on the LAN but that may be the hard drive I have hooked up.

Allows all the laptops in home to access our media and files saved on external hard drive- without being attached. I love this thing, and have not even begun to tap it's uses. I can't wait to be away from home and still be able to show pictures and play songs stored safely at home! It can optionally add all new media if desired.
