Although the MF 8104 has more advanced uses, I just plug a flash drive into the slot, and it takes it from there. The images are brighter than those in my other digital frames. Also, I like the MF 8104's aspect ratio; I don't have to recrop the majority of my pictures, as I would have to do with the longer, skinnier frames.

If you were expecting the MF8140 to display all those thousands of photos you have on the server, beware that it is limited to 255. You will need to set up many smaller folders (of 255 or less) and have to manually reprogram the frame everytime you want to see a different set. I had expected to have it simply play all of my 5,000 photos contained on the server, but it's limited. They don't have any plans to increase the limit at this time.
