Comments about Epson Epson Matte Black Ink Cartridge for the Stylus R800 & R1800 Photo Inkjet Printers.:
I tried some third party inks in other printers with bad results. I decided to stick with Epson inks in my R1800 - mostly for archival reasons. I like their ratings at Wilhelm-Research. I have made over 1000 prints in the last five years and am able to sell with confidence, knowing my prints will not fade for 100 - 200 years depending upon the paper I select.

"Compatible Inks" DON"T WORK on the Epson 1800. It's a waste of your time and $$$. I've been there and done that.
