Comments about Epson Epson Ink Maintenance Cartridge for the Stylus Pro 3800 Wide Format Inkjet Printer.:

I have used the Epson 3800 w/ a variety of paper products including regular cold pressed water color paper. The Epson 3800 works great I often make 17x25 inch prints ( w/ a 15 inch by 24 inch image area this is close to the golden rectangle )

Comments about Epson Epson Ink Maintenance Cartridge for the Stylus Pro 3800 Wide Format Inkjet Printer.:

This cartridge is used in a CAD computer lab printer that only gets used for larger prints and an occasional color print so it sits for up to ten hours per day without any use. It seems that the printer will use quite a bit of ink to clean the heads and thus fills up the maintenance cartridge within two semesters (Mid-August to Beginning of May). This doesn't sound so bad, but for as little as the printer is used it does to me. I do try to keep the printer off and train students to turn it on only when they are ready to print, but with walk-in traffic and lab assistants leaving it on it gets left on way more than I would like.
Furthermore, a "full" maintenance cartridge is mostly white with the bulk of the ink centered around the circular part of the plastic frame so all that nice white absorbent material is not doing any absorbing before the printer deems the maintenance cartridge is full and refuses to print until it's replaced.
So, I wouldn't recommend the cartridge because any owner of the printer would have no choice anyway.
