Comments about Canon Canon Matte Photo Inkjet Paper, 8.5 mil., 13" x 19", 20 Sheets:
This is really good paper for the price. The users who are unhappy with it are probably printing on the wrong side of the paper. Canon should indicate which side to use like they do on their fine art papers. It is hard to tell the correct printing side with this paper. You should print on the whiter side. Problem is the difference is not obvious and you need to check to be sure. If the print comes out soft with funky colors, you're printing on the wrong side. This paper will get a little wavy with heavy ink deposits, but it is not really objectionable. They look quite good after drying completely. Use the thicker fine art papers if that is an issue for you.

Comments about Canon Canon Matte Photo Inkjet Paper, 8.5 mil., 13" x 19", 20 Sheets:
Canon matte is exceptional paper for the money. It's good qualities are very evident when using a Canon printer. You can buy better paper but not for the money.

Comments about Canon Canon Matte Photo Inkjet Paper, 8.5 mil., 13" x 19", 20 Sheets:
I am a professional photographer with a strong background running photo labs. Canon calls this Matte Photo Paper. It does not resemble the photo paper I have been using for nearly twenty years. It just looks like card stock to me... very expensive card stock. The Canon Semi-Gloss photo paper is more like the matte surface paper to which I am accustomed. The best I have found is Fuji 270 paper, but it only comes in rolls and my printer lacks a roll feeder, and the ability to set up a Fuji paper profile.
