Comments about Epson Epson Premium Glossy Resin Coated Inkjet Paper, 10.4 mil., 8.5" x 11", 50 Sheets:

I use this paper with a couple of Canon iP6700 printers. Both printers are excellent consumer photo printers for color prints, but marginal for black and white. When using the Epson paper with the right combination of image colors, image composition and balance (lights and darks); the results are stunning and vibrant! The inks lye evenly, flat, do not bleed into each other, nor do they pool up. Too bad my printers don't make larger prints. And too bad Epson doesn't make paper the same size/ratio as my “full frame” sized sensor that would be about 8.5 inches wide and 12.75 inches long (to fit my current printers, roughly "4 by 6", or .6666, ratio). Many of the people who see my prints on this paper/printer combination are simply amazed that they were made at home. I switched from film to digital several years because of the advances in digital technology and the fact that I have far more control of the outcome. Now, while using my current tools, I have full control over the quality and consistency of the final product. Nobody to blame but me for any substandard results. This has been an advantage for my personal and professional life. As a test of durability, I placed a couple of prints made with the Epson paper, on the dashboard of my truck. I left them there in the sun, heat, cold, humidity and dryness extremes for many months. It took several months for the prints to deteriorate sufficiently to be absolutely useless (thinner ink layers faded and paper began to roll up). Several months later, I removed them from the dashboard because I was tired of answering questions about them. I was amazed that the prints were able to withstand the abuse - for awhile. Bottom line, once I started using the Epson paper, I stopped trying other products because the results were so good…

I use this product almost exclusively. I am sure there are other good papers out there, but I am so pleased with this one I am reluctant to try any of the others.
