Beautiful, but not too functional leather case. Great idea- instead of lugging around a laptop, this compact unit makes great presentations. comes with one page mystery quick start that doesn't touch on how to actually use the unit. I finally went online to Jobo[@](Germany) to download a 30 page document. Almost impossible to transfer files from computer- I found you can create bitmap files and those seem to take most of the time. Jobo USA told me you cannot use with a computer-but there is a USB port. Mine died after about 1-1/2 years using it for maybe 4 hours actual use. Poor support- when the battery refused to take a charge Jobo wanted almost the price of a new one to repair it. Sorry, great idea, poor execution. [...]

Comments about Jobo Jobo 7" X7 Portable Digital Photo Frame with 1 GB Internal Memory & Internal Li-Ion Battery:
I had been looking for something like this for a long time, and thought this would be ideal for quick, on the go presentations. At a trade show, having a little screen like this cycling through my photos as I casually stand near the president or advertising manager would be sure to get some notice. What a great way to show a portfolio. Most of these screens have about half the resolution of this one: I would like more, but this one is okay- or at least it is almost okay. Photos are sharp and clear. Unfortunately the thing won't take downloads out of a computer- not a PC and not a Mac. I have tried . Jobo says, of course not. Huh? If you can only download from a camera, why does their instruction book ( They don't even tell you get it online) show the frame connected to a PC and describes the download method. Only it works in about 1 out of three photos and I sure cannot figure out why not with all of them. I made the names just a few letters with no spaces- still one out of three. I tried downsizing the photos as suggested, but still only got one out of three to load. --You can delete photos only if you enjoy torturing yourself through menus. And then you cannot just click on a button to advance- you have a choice like the unit advancing automatically every couple of seconds (not enough time) or like several minutes or hours. (way too much time) Jobo almost had a winner here. If you are downloading from your camera, there is no problem. If you want to set this up on a table at a family get together, it should be dynamite. People will be flipping out at the shots you just took showing Aunt Christine, and when they come back again, the photo shows cousin Jasir - Then Uncle Timmy! Fun for the whole family. Seriously, it should be great for that kind of thing, so why put it in a leather case instead of with the table stand you really need. And the leather case is very tough and durable. Any olympic weightlifther might be able to bend the case into a shape that will hold it in a standing position as they show in the pictures, but not ordinary people. Could my unit be defective? Nope. Sorry, I have had two of these. Almost a winner, but for other purposes, it could be great. BTW it takes a 2-1/2 hour charge to give you about 2 hours of running time. Something else that is not in the little instruction sheet they give you in the U.S.. One more downer- you are showing your photos to the advertising director of Honda Motors at a trade show and he is very impressed- Bink! the warning shows on the screen: Battery is low. Unit will shut down in 5 seconds. Goodbye! Sure would be nice to know this five Minutes before the end- espeically as this unit has a built in battery and the only way to keep using it is to have an outlet handy. (You can use it at least briefly when plugged in with the charger, usually))

Comments about Jobo Jobo 7" X7 Portable Digital Photo Frame with 1 GB Internal Memory & Internal Li-Ion Battery:
I am a photographer on the go, as Jobo describes this. I would like to share my digital images with clients and friends, but my images are all on files in the computer. It took about one image in five and displayed the rest as "?" in thumbnails. I have whole slideshows of images for clients but cannot use this device. It has a great screen, brilliant and sharp but only uses images, as far as I can tell, directly from cards shot in your camera. It is very useful, but unfortunately, not for me.
